My experience as a Virtual Volunteer English Teacher

I'm thrilled to launch my website with this awe-inspiring experience.

Since last Month, I have been a virtual volunteer English teacher for James Green's English classes.

Even though I've just started to work for an English school in Kasahsktain and have lots on my plate managing my online businesses, I decided to begin this new journey.

It is a colossal opportunity to be part of this powerful group set up by James Green.

In this article, I'm going to break down teaching English as a volunteer - why it's pivotal nowadays and how you can make an imposing change by helping students globally.

Volunteers are increasingly using digital technology to help people around the world. After the spread of COVID-19, volunteers and volunteer-involving organizations had to find creative ways to carry on with their activities. The use of digital technology empowers and inspires volunteer work around the world.

Why is teaching online as a volunteer essential these days? What's it like to take part in this changing world? How can you make a difference in someone's life?

Helping students practice English online for free.

Teaching English online to those who can't afford a course is a transcendent feeling, especially when you know your student will use the skills he has learned on a daily basis.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in the community. It also allows you to meet new people and make a difference in someone's life.

Moreover, learning about other cultures and developing new skills through volunteering can build your resume and give you experience.

You have the opportunity to interact with people all over the world.

You will learn about different cultures and customs from people from various countries.

At first, you might be a little nervous about interacting with someone who speaks a different language than you. However, as time goes on, your confidence will grow because you're constantly learning new things, especially accents.

Online volunteer job positions are flexible and convenient for those who struggle with time management due to their busy lifestyles.

No more worrying about managing time. No more rushing through an assignment because you have a meeting to get to, or leaving work early because it's raining and you need to pick up your kid at school.

With an online volunteer position, you can set your own schedule and work when it's most convenient for you! You can even teach one day, and on another day grade students' assignments or discuss their goals with them.

Working as a volunteer from home means no travel costs involved in getting to and from your classroom—and no expensive city parking fees either!

It's thrilling to help people become more confident as they improve their foreign language skills.

Your students will be grateful and excited to learn from you. They are likely looking for ways to improve their English communication to lead more successful lives and careers. You can help them with this!

You may have encountered some students who were shy or lacked confidence in your classes before.

However, now that you’re volunteering your time (and energy), those same students will feel eager to show off what they’ve learned from the lessons and conversation practice sessions with you. You may even find that “shy” students become more confident writers and speakers.

How can you make a real impact volunteering online?

From researching, translating, or writing to tutoring students in your area who need extra help with their classes — there are a bunch of ways you can volunteer online that fit with your interests and schedule.

The possibilities for what you can do as a virtual English teacher are endless: whether it's helping out online with lesson plans, worksheets, or just being there when a student needs an extra hand — we could always use some help.
